Everyday updates
- Add a product row. Enter a unique ID, name, category, short description and branding area.
- Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP under 2 MB directly into the Catalog Images folder. Copy its Drive link into the
imagecolumn. Keep the folder private. - Set
sortOrderfor placement, and optionally fillpriceLabelandpriceNote. - Check
activewhen ready. Uncheck it to hide an item. Once connected, the site checks for changes every two minutes while open and reloads the catalog on a fresh visit. Google quotas or connection errors may delay updates.
One-time Google connection
This step isn't complete until the deployed web app URL is configured and the live read is verified.
- In the product Sheet, select Extensions → Apps Script.
- Replace the starter code with the prepared script below. Save the project as Tenacious Catalog Feed.
- For the required permissions, open Project Settings, enable the manifest file, and replace its contents with the provided
appsscript.json. RuntestCatalogand authorize the requested permissions in Google. The code only reads; SpreadsheetApp requires the broader Sheets scope. - Choose Deploy → New deployment → Web app. Execute as Me and allow access to Anyone. This makes only the script's enabled product fields and approved photos publicly retrievable. It does not share your whole Sheet or image folder.
- Copy the deployed URL ending in
/exec. Test it below, then download the configuration and deploy that file once—or send the URL to ChatGPT to finish the connection.

The Google deployment requires account-owner authorization. Never put a Google password, access token, API key or service-account key into this site or the Sheet.
Offline backup editor
The original local editor remains available for backup exports. It does not write changes to your Google Sheet or override the live feed.
